Your Goals CAN be the most Important thing in your life...
In order to achieve your goals you must possess certain qualities, I am going to tell you about a couple of the qualities in the following article.
1) You must look toward the sky. When I say this, I mean that you must be able to believe that anything can happen. If you put your mind to it, you can do anything that you want to. It is entirely up to you, how many goals that you set for yourself. Make sure that you don’t set them so high that you can’t achieve them.
2) You must be adaptable. You are going to have to adjust to different situations and environments when you are going to college to get your degree or start your first day on your job.
3) You must be strong. You will have to take criticism well, because along your journey you are going to have to listen to what other people say and learn from it. The people that are giving you advice are not trying to be mean; they are just trying to help you out. If no one helps you, you are going to have a harder time than most people would.
4) You must be patient. You have to understand that everything isn’t going to be smooth sailing and happen just when you what it too. It takes time for you to be able to achieve your goals, it will not happen over night.
5) You must be outgoing. You must be willing to go the extra mile so that you are able to reach your goals. Sometimes you may come upon an obstacle in your way that you may think that you can overcome but you can. No one said that it was going to be easy to achieve your goals, you are the one that set them, and you have to work to make sure that you reach them. If you are outgoing, you can do anything that you want to do in life.
Overall, goal realization is having a purpose in life. If you have a purpose, you will often achieve rather than fall on your face. We can all set goals, however if a purpose is not established, our goals are often out of reach. This is because we fall harder and stumble more along the way to achieving our goals. You need then to establish a purpose and move those obstacles out of your way.
Goal Realization is being aware of what your goals are and knowing what you have to do to achieve them. Only you know what you want to be and where you want to go in life. Make sure that you don’t lose your way along the path, it can be very hard to stay focused on the things that matter the most. If situations arise and you don’t know what to do you can ask somebody for help or you can pray about it. I truly believe that there is a God and he can help you out with stuff that you just can’t seem to find the answer to, thus praying sometimes helps you to reach goals. If you pray about, he will send you the answer to your question and guide you along your way. Just remember that there is nothing too big or to small for you to accomplish. Your goals can be the most important thing in your life, they can range anywhere from having a baby to being a lawyer. You can be anything you want to be and I encourage you to do so.

Changing Habits Can Sometimes Work In Your Favor...
Sometimes we have to change our habits to reach goals or to realize what our goals are in life. Habits are often created, i.e. habits are customs, routines, practices, traditions, conventions, and patterns. Habits are also tendencies, preferences, inclinations, likes, leanings, and fondness.
Habits are addicting, problematic and lead to dependency. Thus, changing habits can sometimes work in your favor. To help you learn your habits, let’s sit down, relax, and do a checklist.
My habits:
Smoke
Drink
Isolate
Workaholic
Loyal to Breakfast
Pull hair
Sometimes jump to react
While this is my set of habits, we can see that several of the habits are harmful and could stop me from reaching my goals. Still, I have achieved many goals and have achieved goals I did not intend to achieve; I still have other goals to achieve. How can my habits hinder me? As you can see drinking is not bad, but I went to drinking obsessively it could hinder my progress.
Therefore, I want to monitor my actions and habits to make sure I do not exceed my limits. Of course, I do not drink everyday, but if I was to stress out it could lead to a day of drunk. To avoid that again I need to monitor my moods, habits, and feelings before drinking.
Sometimes I isolate self, which is not all bad. People can hinder us from reaching our goals still we need moderation. Thus, I plan days and visit friends, go canoeing and the like so I do not feel a threat of my habit.
Smoking is my worst habit, since smoking can affect my health; therefore, I need to work toward stopping the habit. I can do this by practicing new habits that are healthy.
Workaholic poses no threat to me, since I am working hard to reach my goals and have boundaries that I adhere to. Sometimes I jump to react which is a habit I want to work on since it could cause problems.
As you can see, analyzing and evaluating your habits can help you come to realization. Still, one you note the habit it takes working to eliminate, minimize, or else enhance the habit to work in your favor. For instance, my new habits are to eat a hot breakfast each morning. This is a good habit since it promotes health. Not anything that promotes health is a bad habit. Therefore, I can enhance this habit to work on my diet, which could help me loose ten pounds in the next month.
To help you get started and after you write down your habits start telling the truth. If you stumble upon a habit you were unaware of, instead of feeling shocked, accept the habit. If the habit is bad, you want to be honest with self. After you pass honesty, learn to commit self to innovative behaviors. If you practice a new healthy habit, promise you that you will use the habit for here to the course of your life.
Next, move to affirm your new behaviors and intentions. You can do this by visualizing self-acting out on your behavior. Notice the consequences as you see through the changes. If you fear, changes start small and work up to the big changes. This will help you set a pattern, which you can relate.
Next, ask for support or feedback to help you understand the changes. Get help to aid you in seeing the realization of your habits. The last step in learning, developing new habits and the like is to practice each day your new habit and avoid reproaching self. This will help you grow to goal realization.

Goal Realization is a Fight to Win...
Achieving goals takes effort, principals, values, awareness, standards, will, and more, but most of all achieving goals require purpose. We all have goals in life and this includes each section of our life. For instance, if we decide to date we set up goals to achieve while considering other aspects of our lives. Sometimes those goals include high expectations. Realizing your goals is an important step. If you realize your goals and have a purpose, you will move closer to achievement. Goal realization is an achievement in life all in itself. Still, it is important to set plans that work toward your goals. This is true since goal realization is a fight to win. Goal realizations often start in school, works to jobs and then moves ahead. Are you planning your life? Goal realization is also the gateway to learning, thus if you have plans, purpose and the like you have goals.
Are you ready to take steps to your future?

How to Make a Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Game Using Powerpoint

How to Make a Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Game Using Powerpoint
from wikiHow - The How to Manual That You Can Edit
You might've seen or heard of the game show Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Believe it or not, you can make your very own version of the game with your own questions and answers, only using a simple version of Microsoft PowerPoint!
Steps
- Open Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Open a new presentation. By default, PowerPoint should automatically open a new presentation for you. If it doesn’t, go under File> New or press Ctrl+N.
- Design your slides. Choose a background color for your slides by going to Format> Background and choose the color background you want for your slides (black or blue is best for Who Wants to be a Millionaire). If the color you want isn’t there, select “More Colors” or “Fill Effects” to choose the color you want.
- Create a title slide. This will be the first slide your player will see when they start the show. Possibly feature a short introduction and then have the menu appear. The main menu should feature:
- Welcome
- Who Wants to be a Millionaire title
- Links to begin the show and “How to Play” slides, or rules right there on the first slide
- Consider allowing the player simply click anywhere on the screen or use the -> key to advance to the next slide, but links are recommended. To create a hyperlink, simply highlight the text, WordArt, action button, shape or object you wish to be able to click on, right click on it, and select Hyperlink. Once the dialogue box appears, select “Place in This Document” on the far left side of the dialogue box. From here, you can select which slide you wish to hyperlink the text or object to.

Once the dialogue box appears, select “Place in This Document” on the far left side of the dialogue box. From here, you can select which slide you wish to hyperlink the text or object to.
- Welcome
- Make the first question. On the question slide, you should show or mention the money tree, how much the contestant is going for, what they can walk away with, etc. (or you can mention this on separate slides in between questions). Under AutoShapes> Basic Shapes, select the Hexagon. This is a lot like the shape of the box that the question and choices appear in on the show. Draw your shape (short and wide), like the shape of the box that the question appears in on the show. Color it black, blue, or whatever color you like. Next, draw a text box overtop of it, and type the first question in there. Now, create 4 more boxes (the choices to the question will appear in these). Make sure to make them smaller than the question box, and put them in the four spaces below the question where the choices would go on the show. Draw text boxes overtop of these, type in the choices, and you’ve written the question. Now, create hyperlinks that enable the player to answer the question...
- Hyperlink the choices. After the contestant has read the question and four choices, make sure to create links so the contestant can click on the answer that they choose. Click the cursor inside the first text box. This time, instead of highlighting the text to hyperlink it, click on the outline of the box as to highlight the box. Right click on the outline of the box, select “Hyperlink,” and choose what slide you would like to hyperlink it to.
- Create a slide before-hand congratulating the player for getting the question correct. They should be directed here via hyperlink by clicking on the correct answer. Hyperlink all the other answers to a slide telling the player they got the answer wrong.
- Create a slide before-hand congratulating the player for getting the question correct. They should be directed here via hyperlink by clicking on the correct answer. Hyperlink all the other answers to a slide telling the player they got the answer wrong.
- Make the question and choices appear, one by one, using special effects. You can make the question and choices appear, one by one, like on the show, using special effects. Here’s how to do it:
- Highlight the outline of the question box, like you did to hyperlink the four choices. Make sure to highlight the box, and not the text. Next, go to Slide Show> Custom Animation. The Custom Animation task pane should appear on the far-right side of the screen. Under “Add Effect,” select Entrance> and then however you want your text to come in. You can have it appear, fade in, pop up, dissolve, and all kinds of stuff.
- Now, a new animation should be in the white space. Right click on it. Select “Start After Previous.” Next, select the first answer choice text box. Under “Add Effect,” select Entrance> and then the way you want it to appear. If you want to, you can select “Random” to make it random how the text comes in. Once the animation has appeared below the previous one in the task pane, right-click on it and select “Start After Previous.” Right-click on it again. This time, select “Timing” and scroll to or type in the number of seconds you will give your player to read the question before the answers begin to appear (i.e. 5-10. You don’t want your player sitting there for 15 seconds, thinking, “What’s happening? Are the choices going to appear or what?”)
- Next, highlight the second choice. Under Add Effect> Entrance, select the way you want the second choice to appear in the slide show. Once it appears in the task pane, right-click on it, and select “Start After Previous.” Now, right-click on it again and select “Timing.” Now, scroll to or type in the number of seconds you want your player to wait in between ‘’choices’’. 1.5 – 3 seconds is good for this, depending on how fast of a reader your player will be (Keep it 3-4 seconds for younger children who will be playing the game.) Repeat this step with the last two choices.
- You can repeat this with each of your questions, or copy and paste your question slides, so then when you paste it, all the effects will already be there, and all you have to do is change the question. However, if you are copying and pasting your slides, make sure to change the choices’ hyperlinks to the corresponding slides on your new question!
- Create a slide congratulating the player for winning a million dollars. On the real show, this is a huge milestone that is rarely accomplished, so make this slide bright and fun! You could also offer the contestant to play again or Exit the slide show (see Tips).
Tips
- Get some inspiration from official online games. Watch the show and see what it’s like and get some inspiration from that.
- On the newest American versions of the show, there is a time limit for each question. You can add a time limit to your questions by using this technique:
- Find the slide with the question you wish to add a time limit to. Create a WordArt displaying the amount of time the contestant will have (i.e. 30 seconds). Make sure it says :30 or :15 or whatever the time limit will be for the contestant. Go to Slide Show> Custom Animation in the main toolbar to bring up the Custom Animation task pane. In the slide, select the WordArt. In the Custom Animation task pane, click “Add Effect” and select “Entrance.” Click on “Appear.” A new animation should appear (under the ones you have if you already have some) in the task pane. Next, right-click on the animation (it should have a picture of a mouse on it) and select “Start With Previous.” Then, leave the WordArt selected and under “Add Effect,” select “Exit” and choose “disappear.” Once again, right-click on the effect located in the task pane, but this time select “Start After Previous.” Next, right-click again on the animation and select “Timing.” In the text box, scroll to or type in “1.” Now, create another WordArt displaying the next number down (i.e. :29 or :14). Place it ‘’directly’’ on top of the last one. In order to do this, make sure the semi-colons (:) are aligned in such a way that they appear as one, with the two numbers overlaying each other. Click on the second WordArt (i.e. :29 or :14) and under Add Effect, select Entrance> Appear, as before. Once again, under Add Effect, select Exit> Disappear. Right-click on the animation once more and select “Timing.” Now, in the text box, scroll to or type in the number 1.
- Keep creating more WordArts (remember to count down: :30, :29, :28, :27…). Repeat these steps until you get down to :00. After you’ve completed “Timing” with :00, highlight everything in the slide by placing the mouse in the corner of the slide and dragging it to the opposite corner. Under Add Effect, select Exit> Disappear. Now, create a text box, overlaying everything else, stating that the contestant ran out of time and that they lost or have been forced to walk away, whichever you choose. Also, provide hyperlinks to play again or exit the slide show. This may look confusing with everything overlapping each other, but it should all work out!
Right-click on the animation once more and select “Timing.” Now, in the text box, scroll to or type in the number 1.
- To create a hyperlink to exit the show, you must create an "action button". To create an action button, go under AutoShapes> Action Buttons and click on the blank one. Next, draw your action button wherever you wish to place it on your slide. Once you’ve drawn it, a dialogue box will appear. Select the option box that says “Hyperlink to:”. Click on the arrow for the dropdown box and select “End Show.” Finally, select the action button and type whatever you want it to say (i.e. “Exit show” or “Exit”).
- Add your own rules to the game. For example, only have a time limit on the $1 million question or change the monetary value of some of the questions (i.e. change $25,000, $50,000, and $100,000 questions to $32,000, $64,000, and $125,000).
- Have your friends or family play the game and see what they think of it. They will probably enjoy it!
- This is great for educational purposes if you are a teacher! Many kids may be familiar with the basic concept of the show, and if not, introduce it to them using a PowerPoint game! This is a great study game for in-class review, and is also a lot of fun for the kids too. Have lifelines the kids can be interactive with such as "Ask the Class" or "Phone a Classmate".
Warnings
- This article is based on using the Windows XP Office 2003 version of Windows. If you have a different version of Windows or Office, PowerPoint’s features and toolbars may vary.
- There may be some problems or glitches with the hyperlinks. If this is your first PowerPoint game or if you are not very familiar with PowerPoint, there may be some issues. Don’t get frustrated and keep on trying!

29 Motivational Quotes for Business and other Work Environments
Some days a motivational quote can provide a quick pick-me-up for employees and even management. They can be a breath of fresh air when it comes to a drab afternoon. These are also a great way to jazz up a newsletter or a memo or even to simply print and attach to a bulletin board. Using quotes like these are perfect ways to create a motivational and successful work environment. As Mr. Rick Pitino says "The only way to get people to like working hard is to motivate them. Today, people must understand why they're working hard. Every individual in an organization is motivated by something different." --Rick Pitino
